Default Eg hatch: Core Support replacement?

I've gotta swap a core support on a eg hatch, just wondering if anyone here has a good detailed website or something that will basically walk me through the process...im a mechanic and work on cars all day so i have the knoweledge, ive just never done this type of work

all help is appreciated

its pretty basic. theres about 40 spot welds on the core support just drill them out and swap the new one in and weld! done..
PS: get a oem core support it will fit much much better than after market!

drilling out the tach welds is the worst part about it. its a pretty simple deal. i had one changed on my old hatch. scuffed it painted it put it on in one night. its really simple

Drill, Spotweld Bits, hammer, crowbars and prybars + LABOR. pretty easy ,time comsuming though

just remember to put on fenders, hood, head/corner lights and line it up before you weld on the radiator support.

Be sure and use a tack-weld removal bit. It'll make your life a lot easier.

I've never heard of a core support but I watched the video and noticed he's taking of the rad support so I'm going to assume that "core" means the "radiator core" and that's just a different way of saying it...

Like westcoastRICE said, drill the spot welds, and then bolt the new one on to hold it, and weld it on.

I don't think when the guy put mine back on he used spot welds though, mighta been flush welds (dunno much bout welding, but I think it was tig, not sure)
