will an si distributor work on a dx engine
i might have found a cheep replacment engine out of a 90 dx for my 91 crx si i was just wondering if the distributor off of my 91 crx si will work on a 90 civic dx engine?
I think it might work. The Si distributor has a sensor the DX doesn't use but everything else is the same.
I know for sure you can't do the opposite ( DX distributor on an Si)
Give it a shot.

i tried that, i wanted to replace the dizzy cuz i was goign to be doing a mpfi swap.. but the dizzy wont work. or i did it wrong.. the car started for 1 sec then died.then again the dizzy ended up being **** when i did the swap so maybe it will.
I don't see why it won't. Just use the a6 manifold. That way you'll stay mpfi and you won't have to do any wiring. The heads are the same casting.
So use a6 dizzy, D15b block/head, and a6 manfiold. Everything shold be plug and play. What's wrong with the a6?
I guess that should work. Someone will correct me if i'm wrong.

If I have this corect you want to put a d15 in were your d16 is now(in your si), then yes the dissy will work. Like it was said swap the intake mani also and your good to go.
