i have a 91 hatch an i put new rings an the stuff in the motor an i put 2in all the way out an no cat will it pass with the high flow cat or no cat thanks

 

I had similar experience....

2 1/4" full exhaust with test pipe. Did rings and hone and valve seals. Went to get tested about a month later... Failed miserably.

Spent about 130 bucks at autozone.... for cat, new ngk spark plugs, and oil change. And i seem to remember having to double check the ignition timing as well. Passed like a champ.
