I was told that the 205 azenis were actually wider than the 215s. Anyone know for sure?

I emailed falken, and heres what I got back:

"Our references show the 215/45R16 is 8.39 inches wide, and the 205/55R16 is 8.43 inches. The difference is negligible.
Of course, one would expect a 215 to be wider than a 205, but this just shows how the sizes are nominal and rely on the aspect ratio also. Confusing, eh?"

 

so will the 215/45/16 fit on a 16x7 wheel on an R without rubbing?

Not too sure about the 215/45/16 size, but the 205/50 Azeni does even seem wider than my 205/50/15 AO32R. Just thought I would add

 

I have them on mine...and they are SLIGHTLY wider than the 205's...I've seen both next to each other..mine don't rub at all

 

How about on some Buddy Club P1 QFs? will they rub with a lowered R?

for anyone interested, I got my azenis a few days ago, and just like everyone said, the 205 size is bigger than a regular 215 tire. Awesome.
