its a 2000 PY ITR with 37,000 miles. i looked at the carfax miles and they are right on.

However when i looked closer i noticed that it had been in some sort of accident (had a branded title and owner says that it was becuse of the insurance company, not actually the damage amount, that put it with a salvage because the owner didnt want it back and then the car changed hands). i know the seller he has been a mechanic of mine for a few years now and i do trust him, its just that im worried about the resale of the vehicle after this, like how much would something like this go for? its all been repainted and redone so it looks new and good. it drives and runs fine. my only question is what the value of this car would be (approx?). some of the frame seems iffy like it kinda looks liek it has been rewelded or something, but im no collision expert. hes asking 14k firm.

also does anyone have pics of their itr and their frame so i can use as judgement? thanks

 

it may be easier to take pics of the car in question for us to study.

BTW: I purchased a 1998 GSR Turbo with 16k original miles clean title - perfect carfax etc.. for 12,500

 

If the car is in really great shape and can be registered without any funky inspections... in ANY state, I would pay in the twelves. But that's just me.

 

If your are having a doubt on the car be careful because after you purchase the car and find out some other problems it has you will regret it. I had a friend who bought a car like this and wanted to trade it in for another car and the dealer told him the frame has been clipped. It was a real surprise for him and he ended up selling it for not even half of what he bought it for.

 

The price alone should tip you off.
