So I just got my '97 hatch back after putting a jdm gsr motor in, and the first test run didnt even make it out of second gear and the axle popped. Since they are under warranty we got 2 new ones the next day and put them in. 10 miles down the road i dropped a gear and pop, there went another one. My car was pretty low, so now i raised it up some. And now im on my 3rd set of axles, praying that they last haha. Anyone have any suggestions?

 

stop buying axles from autozone.

 

hmm.... seems quite odd. let us know if they go again now that you've raised it up. even if they are autozone... a gsr motor doesn't have enough power to eat axles up like that.

 

How low is low for you? post pics?

 

Its a finger gap between the fender now, and i havent had any problems for the past week
