Has anything been put in effect since all the **** hapened up here in Portland? Are people getting arrested now?

 

Street racing = waste of time and how people die. Track = Good.

I just don't want some fool pullin next to me at a light, revving his engine and then taking off while the cop pulls me over for supposedly racing. It has happened. I hate it when kids think because you drive a certain car you fit this stereotype, it's fucked up.

 

i'm here is san antonio tx we've have had about 10 street racing deaths in the period of one month, so now if you are caught street racing you go to jail and the impound your car for 30 days

 

We have had the same situation up here. they were talking about enforcing new laws, but haven't heard anything lately. Rumors of losing your car, liscence and jail time.

 

and impounding fees are like $25-$30 per DAY.

 

I haven't heard what the exact penalties are or are going to be but its enough that I wouldn't want to be out at a street race. PIR has started running night time drags though as an alternative and I think there's been a decent turnout. I'm going to IM you too as I see you're a Portland person as well.
