The basic stuff. I/H/E. Just get good quality/power producing parts.

For the header, I recommend SMSP.

i heard that instead of purchasing new headers i could install some sort of exhaust dump...? would that be better? and i heard also that upgrading my intake manifold would usually only be done if i decide to slap on a turbo (f/I)....

i went with RMF

you cant cheap out if you go all motor. If you do, you are never going to meet the goals you want.

creeping. Im going to be nice here, but theres a few things u need to realize.

1) Your a trial user, a newb, asking a newb question thats easily covered in the FAQ.

In conclusion drop the argumentitive ******* attitude. You asked a question, don't object to the answer you get

2) A AllMotor build does NOT include a turbo, that would be forced induction. So, why would you question about a All motor build, then talk about putting a IM on before a turbo??

3) Get some JUN/Crower cams, RMF or SMSP (WHICH ARE NOT CUSTOM) header, i suggest RMF out of preference. a 2.5 Inch straight back exhaust (2.5 from the collector back, 2.5 test pipe / high flow cat), Port and Polish head, 11.5 Compression (maybe 12:1), Upgrade your rods / pistons, Id do sleeving just for durability. Upgrade your drive train (valves, springs, retainers etc).

4) Repeat Step1. part2.

RMF, SMSP, DTR, Kteller, Rage, ANR, Prospeed, Burns...

all ARE custom headers. Each one is hand made.

I was told that the stock h22 headers are pretty good by them selves. The guy i talked to said you can buy a dc header but only see maybe a 3% change. (info from Tuners Edge)

this phenomenon, however difficult (LOL) to believe, is true not because the stock unit is so good, its because DC IS CRAP.....for the last time

number one you dont have to answer any of my questions due too four reasons;

1. you're not helpful

2. you dont know what you're talking about

3. i never once stated i was going turbo

4. i don't want to be rude to anybody on this site because everyone has been very helpfull without the attitude... and i thank everyone else that has taken the time to help me out...

Wow, I ask a better question than this and my **** gets locked in about 2 seconds.

I asked what it would take for ~200whp, AND what a 5th gen with 200whp could be expected to E.T. Then I get the usual "Go search n00b" answer. Well guess what asses? I search for "200whp" in the Prelude forum and get one result, which is one dynograph and about 5 pages of people bitching about SMSP headers. Yay. Helpful.

OK, now that my rant is over, to the original poster, from my own research (with no thanks to have the high-and-mighties here) I've found that indeed, a basic DC header absolutely will not cut it, and that custom headers, though expensive, net impressive gains despite the fact that we're playing with such very little displacement.

My future mods (and I hate to say that cause it always sounds lame) include:

RMF/SMSP header
Cat-back to STOCK muffler
Type-S intake
VAFC + tune (dyno)

Good luck with your build, and perhaps some more folks will check their e-ego's and submit some helpful info.
