Default Fun at LACR 3/31/06

well..

we loaded up and went to palmdale for T&T and it went bad but good..I did my first run and at half track the car got real loose so I lifted and just crused the rest of the track!!

second pass I pull a good sixty and go for second gear and it told me to f*ck off!! 14.66 at 66 mph this pass..

third pass I try for second again and it seems hopeless!!

4th pass (1.583 60 foot)I decide to go 1st 3rd and 4th and run a 10.8 at 140 mph..chute pulled

5th pass I do the same thing but this time I ride the limiter in 1st a little bit and when I put it in 3rd it pulls this time (rased the limiter to 12,000 rpm!) and then hit 4th..the pass feels very very strong so I pull the chute and the front end of the car smacks the ground and nails the slicks right into the fenders!! I get on the return road and hop out and throw the chute in the car and drive to the time shack..I get my slip and it looks like this..

reaction .127
I1 1.695
I2 4.554
I3 6.764
MPH (I3) 114.817
I4 8.538

ET 10.121
MPH 146.116

I pulled the trans out last night and it seems I took all the teeth off 2nd gear!!

will be ordering new parts monday and taking the car out on the 28th at famoso..slicks may be useable but they have some deep grooves in them so I dont want to chance it..

If you had 2nd gear you would've hit 9's easily!

it was an awesome night...Now all we need to do is get the tranny situation figured out and he should be in the 9's no prob. The track was actually hooking really well, and david was on one with launching the car.

It all depends on when you go out to LACR. I've been out there on nights when the big boys have been their running 7 sec cars in the 10.5 inch class and I've pulled off some crazy 60' times my self...

But you are very correct, for the most part LACR is hard to hook up on during normal T&T nights.

David my car isn't together but I will be out there providing pit crew support. But there is a Copper H/B driven by Phil that we hope will be making some noise as well.

Maybe we'll see you guys there
