No more clarion in my car Now it is JDM time

Looks and sounds fantastic !!! Even as being a 13 years old system. 9 speakers do the right job !!

Interesting thing: when tape / CD is played ther power antenna retracts.
When the mode is switched from CD/tape to radio the antenna goes out Cool

Another interesting thing: dynamically illuminated buttons: when for exemple radio is playedm, the buttons used for tape / CD are not illuminated.

Because of frequency shifter I bought recently I can receive all FM radio stations, even if I have japanese FM range on radio display so 76-90 Mhz. This frequency shifter works awesome

 

Was it really worth doing as opposed to putting an aftermarket audio system in there? Don't get me wrong, I think it looks really neat but I'm just speaking out of laziness. Very unique nonetheless

When I bought my lude there was no audio system - the previous owner removed it. That's why I put the clarion. And as I recently picked up whole JDM DSP system in prefect condition I decided to take out the clarion.

Mostly all aftermarket headunits do that. Your clarion should if it had a blue antenna wire.

My clarion was a 2000 or 2001 model, didn't have this functionality.

Look on the pic of steering wheel -&gt; that's the clarion.
