a6 crank in a b7 block?

Default a6 crank in a b7 block?

i was told that an a6 crank will fit in a b7 block. i dont think its possible but it would be great if it was. does anyone else have any insight on this??

don't think so
i remember reading that the d16 main journals are 10 mm larger than d15 mains

The 1.6 mains are bigger than then mains on 1.5 blocks, so the crank wont drop in. But Chevy fools cut down the mains on 400 cranks to put them in 350 blocks, so if you can pull off something similar...? I think that would be pretty cool if someone tried it.

im not gonna try it lol. i may talk to a machine shop to see if they might be able to do something. ill keep updating.
