Vtec

I got a 98 Accord F23 when is the Vtec suposes to engage???

It's variable. It engages anywhere between 2300 and 3800 rpms, depending on conditions.

That's for V6 models, not 4-cyls. The F23 has a variable engagement point.

And it makes no difference whatsoever if you have a manual or automatic transmission.
