Dear accord members, how ya'll doing?!
This question was made by my friend who owns a 96 LX 5sp, and he is just so fed up having problems with his clutch.
In less than 6 months, he has already bought 2 new discs, and in a year period that has happened 2 other times.
I must say that he does races his car once a week or two, and that every single time he sees smoke and smells his clutch inside the car.
But anyway, this last time he installed a new disc, he's been trying to be a good boy and didn't "push" his car as much, and yet... in one month and a half after new disc came, his clutch pedal has gone higher than before and is getting stronger (harder to press).
He ask me to ask you guys what could be the problem and thanked all for giving suggestions and opinions.
All of the clutches he has bought were purchased at discount auto parts, for less than a 100 bucks (..I believe..).
Anyway, what could be the problem?!
Thanks!!!

Keep your foot away from that pedal! Check clearences between the pressure plate and the disc and the flywheel. Consider a racing style clutch. If you keep your foot on the pedal (Even slightly) It will put stress on the disc.
