mysterious problem with VSS
Recently ecu is throwing a code 17 ... so i just replaced the socket to the VSS and the VSS itself but no matter what the speedo still wouldnt work and the CEL still shows the same code.
another weird thing is when i jacked up my car eventhough the car is not in gear ... the front wheels will start to move slowly while gaining speed as if it was in gear...
anyone knows whats happeneding? appreciate the help

YEAH duh, think about it if yo idle is slightly above average and it's jacked up in the air and you're motor is running, the force of it is rotating the axles slightly also makin them turn a little. My last hatchback did this, i thought it was strange until i found out it din't MATTER at all unless you a paranoid freak, and my hatch i got now does that too, who cares.
wheels spinning in air are normal. its just the friction in the tranny from the input shaft spinning...
the VSS problem, check to make sure your getting power to the VSS and while the car is in the air put a DMM on a good ground and then one of the wires (i think the middle one) and turn the drivers side wheel, if should turn on and off 12v. this is a good VSS and the problem is someplace in the wiring
