Scraping my current Boosted engine setup, advice please?
Alright, 20,000 miles ago i blew up my turbo h22, unknown to me was the engine build at the time, a sleeved block, with JE 9:1 forged pistons, crower rods, stock crank, and honda bearings, stock head, and all. for some reason i got a ridge at the bottom of cylinder 3 and my oil pump failed, so it blew up(spun a rod). I tore it down, got the sleeves knocked out 2 88mm from the 87. New Wiseco forged 8.5:1 88mm coated pistons, i had to turn the crank 10/10 but i was told it was ok, now i hear its not, i had my crower rods checked out and the one that spun a bearing had to be resized. I deleted the balance shafts with the kaizen speed kit, used acl bearings, stock head, cometic high boot gasket, am running only 10 psi with my t3/t4. Now i have a noise coming back that i really dislike, and i suspect a head-gasket going bad or a sunken sleeve and an oncoming bottom end issue.
I have about 4-5 grand to play with, and i am not really looking to scrap my car for something else, but i figure with that much i can surely fix my h22 since i do my own work and can get machine work practically free. But im wondering, is it ok to turn a honda crank or should i order a new one, i would like a 9:1 comp. ratio piston, in a 88mm that's not ridiculously priced so some links would be nice or advice, did having that rod resized hurt? should i buy a new set of rods? If i have a sunken sleeve can i do anything about it? i want this car to be fairly reliable, and i want to run a bout 20spi on pump gas as a pretty much daily driver. so any advice will e greatly appreciated-
o yea how do the endyn rollerwaves hold up?
would a blockgaurd be a good choice?
Should i do any headwork aside from just freshing it?
An intake manifold I/E the golden eagle?
Who makes an aftermarket oil pump?

come on someone with some experience, i needa kno if i have a sunken sleeve if i can get it fixed or if i have to shop 4 a block
the only way youre gonna know if you have a sunken sleeve is to do a compression test....that could show a sunken sleeve or any other of many possible problems with your block
note that endyn rollerwaves are just special wiseco pistons....
you dont need an aftermarket oil pump
a block guard is not necessary
you could pick up some good power from some headwork, and GE is a great IM choice

If you have a sunken sleeve you can replace that sleeve & salvage the block.
If the crank is exhibiting anymore damage, replace it.
If you want another unmodified Crower Rod, I have one.

im interested in that rod, pm me with a price, which one is it? i am gettin oil in my coolant and ive had 2 new headgaskets on it and the head pressure tested. so its gotta be a sleeve- can u deck the block if its not sunk to much? n e thing i can do to keep the sleeves from sinking again?
