OK it's the weekend so i decided about time to fit this ES kit on the rear first.
Trailing arm off no problem.
Lower control arm one end off no problem.
Taken shock out entirely, retrofitted with new bushings bump stops etc no problem.
Lower control arm end attached to ball joint .... bloody thing won't come off. Now i have honda manual and also the instructions with ES kit. I have taken off the cotter pin and the castle nut . I want to get this off so i can get the old stuff pressed out.
This is 4ws lude, so there is only one lower control arm.
Any tips ?

u are brave. today i was going to replace the bushings on my lower control arm. but the trailing arms intimidate me..
i managed to replace the front control arms w/ no problemss.. BTW to remove the ball joint from the control arm u need a special tool. that thing should pop that sucker right offf. if not try hitting the control arm downwards to seperate it from the ball joint.

go and buy a "pitman arm puller" a smaller one will do. put the castle not on backwards. put the point end of the puller on the castle nut and have the arms grab onto the arm. keep tightening the puller until you hear a loud bang. that's when the balljoint is released. good look with the bushings. i've replaced every bushing on my car so i know how much of a pain in the *** it is.

the whole pull apart suspension has been easy, just this lower ball joint.
trail arms (getting them off is one of the very easy parts)
control arm is a biatch.... but it is off now
