Default Fixing an All Motor Mistake...

Not Honda related, but i just recieved a head that 'survived', after extensive welding, a mis-shift and a dropped valve. I thought some of you might appreciate this work. I will update the thread later with final pics. Anyone care to take a stab at what kind of head it is?

whored out, comes in turbo coupes/merkur xr4ti's/ect
Pretty stout engine's/cheap=*****

Is it ok to run the motor like that. I have never seen this done before but actually there are alot of things I havent seen

The old pinto motor I think. A variation of it is in the ford ranger.

Of course its not ok to run it like that. Its not finished. Thats why i said i would update the thread. Lets not turn this into a pinto motor thread.

Here is what I see: Aluminum, 2 valve, hemispherical chamber with one spark plug and overhead cam(s).

Is it a Dodge 4.7?

Actually I am almost 100% sure that is an older Ferrari head----look at the way the manifolds mount....

This explains why such extensive work went into repairing that thing! Its not like you can just go down to your local Ferrari dealer and order a new head! Those welds are really nice. Welding cast aluminum is a bitch!
