1984 Honda Accord Question
A couple of days ago the battery light in my '84 Honda Accord came on, everything seemed ok at first (except for an obvious electrical problem somewhere) but then all of a sudden the engine would rev at 2500-3000 rpm in park and would not kick down? I had my dad take a look at it and sure enough the alternator was shot and not charging the battery. At the same time though the electronic choke in the carb quit working and would not kick the idle down when warm. Does anyone know if the two are linked? Would a failing alternator cause the electronic choke to quit working altogether? Thanks

Cut the guy a break. He obviously just signed up on H-T for help with his car, he's not looking for the best place to buy a street fighter body kit.
As for the topic, my wife has an '84 Accord, but I dont know the answer to your question.
