Heard about this a while ago. I wonder what the final output will be...330hp and maybe 300lbs of torque?
This would make the truck much more aesthectically pleasing.

Yeah i hear that... we havnt seen any ridgeline come in for transmitions, they are too new, but ever other V6 auto... thats a totaly different story

All the newer v6 autos drive so much better (smoother) than their predecessors. Only R and D and time with the s/c will tell. That would make one bad *** truck though. Ridgelines sound so good on highway on ramps, it would be just that much better with the wine of a s/c.

Both had the VTM-4 drivetrain. Nice and cumbersome.

the ridgeline tranny's are the same as the MDX tranny's.
04+ MDX/Ridgeline transmissions are beautiful. Alot heavier duty than the older model MDX/Pilot/TL/Accord/ tranny's.
I wouldnt worry too much about them breaking.

We'll have to wait and see. They haven't been out long enough yet, and we've still replace some prematurely.

like i said..they pretty much fixed the problem in 04'.
I was the only guy in my shop and the only guy i've heard of to do an 05' TL. The car had 200 miles on it. So it came out of the box as a manufacturer defect.
I've seen more TL Manual trans. overhauls than A/T.
I haven't seen ANY 04+ MDX's.
Haven't heard of any 04+ pilots.
And your basing the Ridgeline on the same concept of those. Except for the fact that im assuming Honda built them with a little more *****.
Don't know wait and see, i could be wrong..i don't think i will be.

as long as the ridgeline has been out, no transmissions or any other failures coming up that i know of.
i have worked at honda for years, two seperate dealerships within the last year.
no ridges in..... yet.
so, i had to buy one.
the S/C is on my want list..... after i tune the s/c on my crx first.

We did 1 pilot hourly guy forgot to put in the drain plug. Other then that no trans problems in any pilot. I have had my ridgeline just over a year now has 23,000 miles on it no tranny problems to speak of.

I spoke to soon. Just did an 06 pilot trans with less then 5,000 miles on it. Chunks of metal in the atf when I drained it. Had to be a factory defect hopefully its not a common problem.
