Default My shift **** wont come off!

The shift **** in my EM1 will not come off.. ever since the day I bought it I have been unable to remove it. When i try to unscrew it, it feels like its starting to twist off as you turn it, and then all the sudden the shift boot starts turning with it and it doesn't feel like its unscrewing. Am I a dumbass, or is my shift **** like glued to my shifter? Thanks in advance for some help.

Pull the shift boot straight down. The **** has prongs which clip into the collar of the shift boot. Then, unscrew the **** counterclockwise.

You the man

I tried that before but I wasn't sure if thats what i was supposed to do that or not and i was being a ***** barely pulling down on the boot. i just needed to give it a good firm tug downwards and i was able to get it right off. thanks again dude!
