Default Orange County, California - Help locating mechanic - EF9

I need assistance in locating a good mechanic to do the following:

put in a new clutch and make my JDM b16a smog legal?

any suggestions would be greatful.

I live in Huntington Beach, CA.

i know a mechanic, you with a haynes manual.
Smog place= any place in south central L.A.
dont be afraid to work on your own car.

I do clutches. And if you're really serious about going legal with the b16a, then i can help with that as well. Keep in mind, its not cheap!!!

i can do your clutch and like wut fourthgenhatchB17 said if you want your car to pass legit its gonna cost you some cash. if you wanna get it " HOOKED UP " then i can do that to.

I'm not in cali, but I agrie w/ the guy that said you w/ a haynes manual. I'm not trying to be a smart ***, but this way if anything gets messed up you still have the satisfaction of saying at least I tried. Don't be affraid to venture into new thing, The more you know about your car the better off you will be in the days to come, and you can save a bunch of money (by switching to geico). No, really then you don't have to pay that ungodly laber rate (in pa around 45$ an hour I can just imagine what it's like in cali). Give it a shot.

If anyone wants to do major work on their own, by all means go for it. However, a haynes manual would be my last choice! Go Helms (factory manual) or take it to an experienced person . Also, some of you guys have to realize that doing the work yourself requires not only the knowledge but the proper tools as well.
