PRI Magazine Sport Compact feature
Sorry if this has already been posted.
Anyone see the Sport Compact article in PRI Mag? It mostly talks about drag racing and how the market and sport is still growing and will continue to grow. It is a good article for us to keep in our back pockets. I'll try to scan it in if I get a chance.

It is coming along. It is always more work than you originally anticipate, especially with the progress teams like Skunk, CM, and Drag Cartel have made. Switching engines really set us back. 2003 was the last year where you could put a good motor in a light car and be competitive. You have to dot the i's and cross all your t's and hope you didn't miss anything.
Josh and Jim have been working all year on motors and we think we are ready to go. We have some work to do on the chassis, but we should be ready to make an attempt at the NHRA field pretty soon.
How about you?

Cars just sitting in shop, we might run a few races this year, Im also doing other things right now, but with NOPI screwing around with the class, and a few other things, we are just tired of spending the kind of money, and going through all the **** it takes to try to get things done, (example like getting a cylinder head ported, when a guy has your head for 9months will not answer your phone calls, nor return messages, and you have to flight out to NC to get your parts back).. its just a very unstable sport, and very unorganized.. Just sitting back and waiting to see how things turn out. Also Im going back to school, so we will just have to see. but for the payout and the amount it takes to travel and run the car, its just not worth it, unless you have lots of money.
Clay I know exactly what you mean. I got sick of sending stuff out and getting ripped off. Paying several thousand for headwork and getting back some **** that looks pretty and flows like a coffee stirrer. We found a local Indy Car guy and have been working with him closely for over a year and he is GREAT!!
Run some NHRA. I expect it to be pretty neato this year.

I will make its own thread when I am ready to post some pics. I want it to be 100% finished and pics at the track. It doesn't have a back window in it right now so it looks silly
Back on topic. SPORT COMPACT DRAG RACING IS BACK!!!!!!!!!!!!
