2point6 version 1.2

After all of the last dyno tuning, testing various headers on my car, I ended up having to replace a head gasket. Some of you who follow my posts might have already known about this issue. So here is an update... upon replacing the gasket I found a sleeve that had sunk about .002" causing the head gasket issue. We were struggling with time to get my Accord up and running for NOPI and decided to use my "back up" 89mm darton sleeved block that I had sitting on the shelf for the past 5 years. I transfered my crank, pistons, rods to the new block, and added the Vance and Hines head to the mix. I also added a larger set of Web cams to see what this would do on the dyno. So basically, I refreshed the engine with minor changes to compression since the new block is .010" taller than the old. I have roughly 11.8/1 compression instestead of 12/1. That being said, I still made more powerover all. To reflect on one of my previous posts, some people were curious what my engine would do with a "proffesionally" ported head with a larger set of cams. This set-up made more power 268.2 WHP and 195.8 WTQ. I made just slighly less TQ, but considering that ambient temeratures were 20 degrees warmer during this session, I am not dissapointed in any way.
Here is my current set-up simplified:
Vance and Hines headwork, Web Cams and valve train, TWM 50mm Throttle bodies, 89mm bore darton sleeved block, JE pistons 11.8/1 comp, Cometic Head gasket, 98mm crank, RMF Header, Neptune Engine management, Locash Racing Tuning.
Thanks to:
Joe Sawyer at Locash Racing for his patience with me while tuning my car over and over and over....
Randy Monroe for just puting up with me in general. You know what I mean.

Scott,
Dave from PHX here. Wow! that is some serious power. How did you go about
getting a head done by vance and hines? Next time you come up here to dyno,
let me know, I would love to check it out. H22 power representin!

No problem. I don't make enough vacuum to daily drive this thing without having braking issues, so I added a vacuum pump.

you really don't make enough vacuum? i know atleast two people running itb's on an h22 in accord or prelude and neither has much trouble. there are some major differences in the tb setups and engine modifications. just wondering if these played an effect or if there were other reasons.
good stuff scott ,
i see the cams along with the headwork really helped the top end . did v&h do there porting more on velocity like i though or did they hog a bunch of it out .
mabye the f20 needs a bump in displacment lol ,ill never see those tq numbers, i wouldnt know what to do with them anyway

2point6 looks great! your missing something! hit us up and we give you a great deal on one of our alternator/tesnioner kits...you may want to swap to the D series alternator, lighter, smaller, smaller pulley, smaller ribbed belt, may free some power up for future setups etc....keep up the good work...
