does the First Gen SIR tranny the S1 tranny does that have the same gear ratios as a type r tranny and whats the difference is it the final drive and if it is the final drive whats makes it soo different ?

 

from what i know someone correct me if i'm wrong.

s1 has a final drive of 4.4 and has similiar gearing to the type r tranny we speak of.


the type r tranny is equipped with lsd and has a final drive of 4.785

the final drive: the high the drive the faster the acceleration through gears?
