hey guys, i was wondering if anybody could tell me for sure if my skunk2 stage 3s (not pro-series) cams would work with 1/2 mm oversized ss valves. an old friend of mine ran half over valves with crower 413s and it worked fine. im not sure how different they are on overlap but i have the specs between the two cams if it helps.

I ran them +3 -2 with .5mm over intake and ex... but that in no way means you can.. the position of the valve on the seat when the vjob was cut will dictate weather it can be done.. I have even run the pro-3's with a 1mm over intke and stock ex valve

 

ok thanks for the reply, so i gotta find out from the machinest how it was done... sorry i dont know much about this subject, what am i exactly looking for, i mean what position of the valve would let me run the cams? is it a stock position or a different angle? thanks

 

I have used the older stage 3's with + sized valves. Just check your numbers.

 

sorry to sound like such a dumbass but what numbers? for dialing in the cam gears or degreeing the cams?

 

Installed valve height is the number you need.
