Default BB6 strut bar

i was wondering if anyone has put on a strut bar from a jdm type-s or sir. i found one to but and it states if you don't have the studs sticking out it wont mount being that it mounts directly to the strut tower and not the strut mount bolts. there are black stickers over the hole where they would be but no studs. i am wondering could i just run a bolt up from the bottom or is there a specific part that i need to mount it

If you have the JDM suspension, Tein (I believe) and or Mugen (I have the mugen suspension) it will bolt right on cause it has all the bolts necessary. But yes you can buy the bolts and have them in there. I wouldn't do it though, not worth the $80 for the strut bar plus other parts, I didn't notice a difference. I'd say save up for sway bars, you will notice the difference with some Swaybars I run ST's

Yup, sway bars>strut bars. If youre really aching for a front strut bar I recomend the Neuspeed.

Another thing about the type s strut bar, its a pipe not a solid piece of metal. The neuspeed strut look pretty solid and beefy. Or you can shell $$ out and get the spoon bars for the JDM Bling

Do the spoon bars clear all the power steering lines and wiring harnesses ? Cause my DC one hit all that stuff and i had to move some things.

The bar is alright but there are better choices.

The strut bars should be the last pieces purchased when modding suspension/chassis.

Save up and buy sway bars, you will notice alot more in the handling than strut bars. My type s clears all the wires but you have to move the strutbar mount around the wires alil bit to make it to the bolts. I would asume the spoons would do the same. Now if you want a strut bar i would suggest the Neuspeed bar or if you got the cash the spoon bar neither will make much difference compared to sway bars though

Personally I think I could feel a difference when I installed my Neuspeed front upper stb. Having said that, I only have stock sway bars so I cannot vouch for which is better to get first. I was (and still am) happy with the way the stb reduces the flex of the front end. This is especially noticable when entering or exiting driveways and hooking right turns at intersections. (Gee, can you tell I have NO track time on my Prelude?)
