Default Civic Type R camshaft for 1st gen B16A

is it ok to go with only the intake shaft, does this provide much more power?

yes its ok but give a little more valve overlap. so your going to want to tune the cam gears. the ctr cams have more duration and will give you hp untuned but get it on a dyno and go have fun. i predict 5hp.

yeah?

cool, ONLY the intake?

also - what are the CTR pistons like in producing more power??

(it seems the camshaft is more expensive than 4 CTR pistons and Honda rings... $768AUS vs $750AUS)

which way do i go?

i have a spare engine sitting around, {waiting for a B20Z frankie make-over (when i can GET a damn CRV block!!!!!)}

so a rebuild would happen outside the car and swap-over would take one day...

any suggestions?

would i get more power from CTR pistons or a CTR intake cam?

t..
