K-pro on a 03 Civic Type-R
I seem to remember that someone told me that installing a K-pro with a RSX Type-S ECU would give me some problems that i had to fix with modifications to the wiring, installing some kind of o2/lambda thingy and live with a constant warning light in the dash. And also that using a euro type-r ECU would rid me of this problem all together.
The thing is since i dont want to ship my ecu half way around the world and also need the car on a daily base i need to buy it with a ECU.
Is all this true and if so, how am i supposed to get hold of a kpro with a euro type-r ECU? Prices in england are just way to oveprized if you ask me.
Thanks

Never heard of anything like that... matter of fact you can disable OBD2 functions in Kpro (especially useful if you have cat eliminated) so that you don't have to live with the CEL on.
There are a ton of guys on k20a.org who have JDM/Euro K20A motors swapped in their EG/EK/DC chassis and are using Kpro without a problem.
I believe you're thinking of the intrument panel issue having to do with 05+ RSX/Integras but it does not apply to your 03 civic...

Buy a used ECU and have K-Pro installed by a dealer of your choice. It´s worth the $

Ok so its true, and i have to modify this thing no matter what. Is this hard? I read the instructions but since i have no experience on this sort of thing its hard to know.
Also it seems used ECU's are hard to get. But anway, are there any pros/cons with using either type-s ECU over type-R ecu's? (us/euro).
I just want to put a k-pro in my ep3 type-r euro wich as little hassle as possible. and since i live in norway there are no dealers for k-pro so i have to buy it overseas.
It seems there are less than 10 k20a's in the whole country!
