Yes.

Personally, I find the stock system's audio output to not be all that bad.

Stock unit isn't bad for what it is. When I upgraded to an Eclipse deck though, I got a lot more clarity in the mids/highs and less mud in the low mids/bass. Just a much cleaner sound from top to bottom. I also did the Civic/CRV woofer upgrade (replaces the stock paper woofer with a poly-cone one made by Pioneer) which helped a good bit.

I have/had no issues reading CD-Rs burned with Nero and a typical Dell RW drive.

When I had my 4g, I changed the headunit to Pioneer aftermarket one and nothing else. It helped a LOT.

My 5th gen stock cd player doesn't sound very good at all. When everything is set to 0, I can't hear any bass at all. The trebble is way too overpowering and it almost hurts to listen to it. Today I set it to +3 Bass, -1 Trebble, and -2 Fade, and it sounded mostly decent across the entire spectrum, but still not great. My 04 Civic stock system sounded much better. Does anyone else agree, or is my system just defective?
