Default Maintenance for a CAI???????????

I am thinking about buying a Cold Air Intake....is there any maintenance you need to do once it is on your car. I would probabaly definately get a Bypass valve also.

But....what do I need to do to it once it is installed on the car? maintenance wise

The filter needs to be cleaned occassionally. I haven't done mine yet but might check on it in the next month or two... I know that they can be "recharged" with the K&N recharge kit, rather than replacing the filter like the stock filter.

you just have to clean it from time to time. I think they actually perform better a little dirty, so I don't clean mine often. Just tap it so the bigger stuff comes off and thats about it. I think the dirt creates turbulance and swirls the air better.
