Default Problem with my LS please help!!!!!

ok here my problem...i bought an obo ls motor and put it in my ek the motor has a 99 ls intake manifold on it.....when i put it in the car it ran fine...i was runnin it on my single dx ecu then it started actin up..it started burning mad oil and gas...if i punch the car alot of black smoke comes out. then the car started idling funny so i changed the aic didn't do anything..so i changed the ecu and put 2 diff 94 ls ecu's car stop spitting out black smoke looks fine until i punch it thats when it starts to get dark...if i drive the car for 2 long when i stop the car cuts off if it don't cut off the idle will go up and down sounds like aic again but it's not, when i try to pull of the car is hesitate and jerk then it will go..has that ever happened to any1 and if so what was the problem and how did u solve it?...wanna fix this problem asap

ok the idle problem could be that you have a bad intake manifold gasket and the burning oil is most likely a bad head gasket check them out might help

the easy way to check a intake manifold gasket is to spray starter fluid all around your intake manifold were the gasket is and if the idle starts jumping thats your problem

Are you kidding? Did you get your automotive expertise from the back of a cereal box? Please keep your extremely uninformed opinion to yourself.

To the OP:
Perform a compression and leakdown test to check the mechanical condition of the engine. Inspect the spark plugs. If you have the financial means, get Hondata or other engine management and get to a tuner-that is, if the engine is sound.

Yes. A bad head gasket is NOT the most likely cause for burning oil. When someone does not know WTF they are talking about, they should not be offering others advice. Someone might actually listen to you

yes, please get your facts straight. If you are unsure of what the cause it, its best not to say anything. Misinformation is the worse thing that can happen to this forum. Once people start thinking of wrong diagnosis, that misinformation spreads like wildfire and making other people think they can all diagnose a problem to everyone.

oh and bad head gasket is not something you say for a car burning oil.

Actually this is a thread that my fried started on B20VTEC.COM because he was too lazy to do what I told him when he first put the motor in the car....I told him the possible cause is that he has a blown piston ring here or there..his compression test comes back good "i think thats what he told" and all i can think of is the that the rings are going...dont get it wron gth emotor pulls Hard but it acts funny
