Car won't go in gear!!!!!!
I have a 99 prelude. When i was coming home on the highway i felt like my shifter started to feel more tighter and wouldn't go in different gears easily. Then it wouldn't go in gear at all. So i pulled over and waited and then shoved it into gear so i could get home. When I got home I looked at the clutch master cylinder and the fluid is almost full but a little low. What could the problem be? Thanks for the help
I would pull the boot back on your slave cylinder an make sure its not wet with fluid. Also check the master cylinder from inside the car. Make sure its not wet any where in that area. If neither of those areas are damp just try rebleeding the system and go from there.
Is your clutch getting harder or just the shift ****? If it is the clutch you may have a problem with your master cylinder.. if it is just your shift **** my guess would be your shift linkage is going south.. I had a similar thing happen to me, it eventually got jamed into 1st gear and the gear shift **** went limp and wouldn't shift out of gear. If it is your shift linkage, the part alone costs 350$ from the dealer, total cost to have the dealer install was 659.99.
GL hope it helps.

I parked the car in the garage last night. I went to go take a look at it this morning and the shifter feels fine right know. It just shifts perfectly. The only thing that i noticed was that the oil was extremly low.

I just gave the car a oil change. Also took it for a spin, it does the same thing. Its very hard to put in gear while its on. When the car is sitting and not started i can easily put it in gear.

everyone is saying master cylinder, but the slave cylinder usually goes bad before the master. anyway bleed the clutch before you do anything, check the slave cylinder and if it's ok then check the master cylinder. if both are ok, then you might need a new clutch. peices of my clutch plate broke off before, and totally ate up my flywheel too.
and there is no dipstick for tranny fluid

look on the tranny, there's a drain bolt(should be a square drive for a 3/8" drive) and then you have a bigger bolt(I believe it's a 19mm). the big bolt will be your drain bolt. to check fluid you take off the drain bolt(keep the car as level as possible) and see if any fluid comes out. if a lil bit drips out, you're good. if fluid doesn't come out, fill till a lil bit starts dripping out.

I would guess it's a fluid situation in your tranny, it's probably low on fluid which would cause it to be hard to put it into gear. It sounds like you have no problem pushing the clutch in since you didn't mention it therefor you don't have to worry about the master or slave cylinder.
same thing happened to me, same car yr too. I just had a loose screw and yeh it wouldnt go into certain gears, and i always had to time it perfectly for me to even shift sometimes. but they had to take everything apart just to locate the screw so i had 2 get a new clutch, maybe thats your problem too?
