my car has been running wierd.i have a 95 civic ex with the d16z6. first of all it barely starts it will just crank then it will maybe start after 2-5 min. then when it is running it has an inconsistent idle. it will idle around 600 then it will jump to 1200 then it will do a cycle of that idle. then when im driving it will run fine then all of a sudden it will jump, or pause. the car will be normal again then it will bog, almost stall. then finally it just quits. now it wont stay running. it will start then go up in idle to 3000 then quit. the timing is perfect on it. it has a new fuel filter and a distributor. i dont kno whats wrong with it i am a body man not an engine mechanic please help me any feedback would be appreciated. thanks

 

sounds to me that it is acting like a bad MAP sensor.
