you have to pay taxes in cali and sometimes its cheaper to get it from a distributor.

i ordered a vis oem carbon hood back in october 2005 and they kept saying it's on backorder in january 2006, they said it'd be ready to go in march. so now that it's march, i checked out what's going on with my order!! now it won't be ready till june so i just had my deposit transfered to a tein strut tower bar which is now also on backorder

i have always had better luck thru distribotors rather than going thru Vis directly. alot of distributors are in so deep with them they have hundreds of them in stock.

That's true but if you add shipping, sometime the price comes out to be the same.

Especially big items such as Hoods, and Trunks...........

Also there might be a chance that the item may be damage during transit.

BTW: You're in El Monte, VIS is in Monterey Park on Garvey right after New Ave.
They're like 15 minutes from you.

Do you know anybody that owns any kind of Auto Shop that can help you out ?
Doesn't have to be a Performance or Race Shop, could be just a regular Auto Body or Mechanic Shop. If you do, ask them to use their reseller permit and you can get the Hood or Trunk for WHOLESALE price. Then you can go pick up the item and pay NO shipping + NO TAX because it's wholesale.

The best of both worlds.

I purchased a front end from them i think about 3 months ago because they had no VIS hoods but right now its already being shipped so it looks like PasswordJDM got some of their VIS in.

Just letting you know about Password JDM, they told me before I even paid them that they weren't really sure how long it would take but i took my chances and they kept e-mailing me (giving me an update on whats happening). So all in all, passwordjdm is reliable and A+ quality service. just my 2 cents
