how hard is it?
i just bought koni yellows and ground controls for my accord. i was wondering how difficult it would be to install them. i've only worked on suspension once and it was on a land rover. on the land rovers, they have air suspension so it was relatively easy. should i just get this professionally installed? how much would it cost to get it professionally installed?
people normally charge alot of money to do it, just because they can. around 300 or so dollars is what i typically see.
I have got it down to about 45mins to completly yank out the suspension and replace it. But i have done it maybe 50 times. I know others that do it faster.
something to think about is, do you have jack, jack stands, 10, 12, 14, 17 mm sockets, and open end wrenchs. thats all you need, oo and a allen wrench to get the stock top hat off of the stock suspension.
you live in MD so you might have issues with rust, which makes it a HUGE PITA

i have alot of tools/air tools. what i'm worried about is assembling the strut wrong. i've looked at alot of pictures and for somewhat...it won't stick to me as easy as it would to replace something in the engine compartment. i have no idea why. 45 minutes? damn man. other people said it was like a 4-5 hour job.

Its not difficult if you know how to work on your suspension and you have the right tools. If you have never done this before, I would give yourself plenty of time. Have someone who has done it before with you too.

its really simple, the only part i ever see people get confused on is, the washer and top hat, not really that difficullt just pay attention when you take it apart.
and ya the first time i did it, it took me close to 3.5 hour to do, i have also had ones were i had to deal with rusted bolts, THAT stuff sucks, but can be worked around.
