Default skunk 2 cam shaft stage 1

I was wondering if I went with the stage 1 skunk 2 cams and skunk 2 gam gears would I be safe with the stock type R valve train? thanks for the info.

Most stage 1 cams are fine with the stock ITR valvetrain as long as you keep the stock rev limit to be on the safe side. Although some peeps have bumped it 9k.
