on a crx, you will be going very, very slow, once you manage to get teh wheels and fenders right so that they aren't locked against the trailing arm or the fender. send pictures from the mud pit.

damn, what the hell is going on today.

i've run 225's for the last 3 or 4 years, and i've been driving a crx in various forms of modification for 9.

235/60/15 is a bad size because it is WAY too tall for anything other than a drag slick. what is the diameter on the tire you're talking about dd'ing? a tire that wide and that tall is going to be nearly impossible to fit under the car (wanna see how hard it is to get 225/45/15's to work well at both ends?). if you do, the diameter is going to make your gearing be terrible. combine that with a lot of added weight, and you are making your car slower.

op- can you put 225's on 5.5 in wide wheels? yes, you can. were they designed to go on wheels that narrow, and will they work as well as a wider wheel- probably not.

not exactly you typical dd tire, certainly not going on all 4 corners, and not going to make many turns. come on man, posts like your first one are why we get people asking about 225/55/15's on oem wheels and dd'ing them without problems.

I know it wont be the best for daily driving and I did not say you will have no problems with them. but it is possible to mount them on oem wheels. I am going to run them on oem ls meshies. trust me, i've researched into it enough, I've seen pics of EF's with the exact same tires on. Why should I bother running 205/50/15's if I would just roast them on the street?

your average 225/55r15 is 24.8" tall and 9.2 inches wide and your average 235/60r15 is about 26.1" tall and 9.5" wide, the bare bare minumum rim that should be ran with these tires should be 6" wide. For reference the stock 175/70/R13's on our rex's are 22.7"tall and only 7" wide. and another reference point your stock tire size on most Jeep Cherokee's is 27.7" tall by 8.5" wide. i do not think any of those two sizes above are going to fit a stock ef very well, not even the size that is going to be killer as much as the weight is, how does 25-28 lb's per tire sound, not too good.

Yeah it'll take some work to make it fit, have to jack up the front. Weight of a tire doesn't matter when you're making 400+whp lol.
