does anyone have dash dissasembly diagrams for an 05 TL? or know where i can obtain them?

What exactly do you want to take apart? And why?

ok here's the story. we both work at a stereo install bay. we have an appointment coming up for a 05 TL. i forget what exactly we are doing but, i kno the dash needs ta come apart for the job (i didn't make the appt). sooooo the audio system dis. would prob be what we need.

 

in responce, we are hooking up a device that allows you to play dvd's off the factory navigation. ive searched and cant find anything on dash dissasembly. any helpwould be appreciated.

 

the devices like that I have seen dont require access to the screen themselves but rather to the navagation unit which on the TLs if I remember correctly is in the trunk but it could be under the passenger seat.

 

the silver peices on the edge pops off u need that pop off metal thing. and u need to unscrew that screw in the arm console and that piece where the clock is showing u can pull that off one u get that metal side pieces off its pretty much easy

actually, this device has to be mounted near the screen because the port actually plugs into the xm port on the back of the deck, anyway, im all done with the install for now. it turned out great, i will post picks soon and let everyone see the final product, there are still a few kinks to work out.

 

thats cool what brand is it or about how much does it cost because I know someone at work who has been looking for something like this for his 2005 TL with the navigation.
