So what's the big fuss everyone makes about hydrolock? This phenomenon occurs when water is sucked up into the throttle body and into the cylinders by way of your cold air intake, or any setup for that matter. This ultimately causes serious and irreversible damage to your engine

did you inform your insurance agent when you put on the intake? if so then yes
if not then no, unless you would like to commit insurance fraud and reinstall the factory intake

i called them and told them i had installed aftermarket parts, and asked if i was in an accident or etc, would i be covered for my car and the price of the aftermarket parts, they said yes. but i'll reinstall the intake if need be.
