Teg Rack into 92 civic with Power steering
I searched a little, but i just want confirmation before i get a teg rack.
Instead of rebuilding my current 170k mi rack , I'm planning on buying a used one out of a teg with 80k miles and swapping it in. My car is a civic dx with power steering, the teg rack is also a powersteering rack.
I'd just like to know if there is anything i need to do special to swap the racks or is it simply plug and play. I know it bolts up fine, but i read there was an additional ps line left over and something about the connection to the steering column is different. I just need a straight answer so I have everything i need.

the dc2 rack is a bolt in, as you know for a p/s equipped 92-95 civic. there are a few issues though:
1. you will need the dc2 coupler (universal joint that connects the rack to the column) as the civic one is too small on the rack end.
2. the civic has 3 p/s lines. 2 of them are large, 1 of them is smaller. you need to eliminate the smaller line because the dc2 rack only accepts 2. it is the line that goes to the bottom of the p/s fluid resevoir. you will need to plug that, or get a dc2 resevoir bottle.
3. you will need to slightly rebend the p/s lines, as the connections are not exactly in the same spot. be careful not to crimp them.
align, and go. i highly suggest replacing the bushings with mugen steering bushings, and they take the slop out of the rack. if you have any problems, hit me up on aim/pm. i have done a bunch of these, and it is little more then just a rack swap.
