Sometimes when I start my car the 'brake' light on the dash is on. Sometimes when I push the brake in, the light goes off, but comes back on when I let the brake go. Sometimes I push the brake in and the light is still there. After a bit of driving it usually goes off. Anyone got any ideas on what it might be? It's starting to **** me off.

 

I think your referring to the e-brake light.

It could be a few things: low brake fluid, the switch for the light could be sticky and i think there are a few more.

I don't think it's the e-brake making the light go off it's the actual gas pedal. When I push it in, the light sometimes goes off. Sometimes it stays on. Eventually it goes away though, without me touching the e-brake at all. But yeah, what I was refering to was the e-brake light.
