Default grounding systems??

Just kinda curious to see if anyone has any experience with any of the grounding/voltage stabilizing systems out on the market now. Looking at probably the HKS system, but didnt know if anyone had any negative or positive experience with them. Let me know if you guys have any installed on your rides, pics of grounding locations would also be helpful, from those who do and have made power.

I have been skeptical of them, but they allways seem to pick up a few hp in tests. In fact, a couple of years ago, I was chatting with a guy who is an editor at Sport Compact Car and he was telling me they were going to test one just to put rest all the bullshit about how they improve performance. Problem was, when they dyno tested it, the car picked up a couple of hp.

Don't buy one, though. Just go to a good stereo shop and buy some high gauge wire and some good connectors and make your own. Half the cost and will work just as well.

some of the more expensive kits come with voltage regulators..... like the sun kit

i opted to convert all my old car stereo wires in to grounds though

I have both a sun grounding and voltage stabilizer kits. I can say that the car seems to idle smoother. didn't really notice too much else.

I would be concerned what the regulator was doing to the rest of the system. Where does it regulate? What's the output voltage? What's the loss in amperage?

Is it a regulator, or is it really a supressor or condensor?

I just grabbed some 0 and 4 gauge cable from work and soldered and heat-shrunk some terminals on it and made my own.

I ran mine to the back of the head, just infront of the brake booster (there's a threaded hole you can screw a 14mm bolt into); on the transmission (one to the factory spot, and one to a chassis/junction I made near the battery - total of 2 leads); one to the factory ground on the water inlet/thermostat housing; and one to the distributor.

No experience with voltage stabilizer kits, but made my own ground wire kit.

4-gauge power wire and gold connectors made to the same lengths as the sun auto kit. Didn't really notice anything.
