B18A1 Upgrades??????
hey i have a 1993 ls integra with the stock b18a. my buddy just got done with his ls/vtec build and has his b18a head sitting around. my question is he has crower 404's dual valve springs and ti-retainers and maybe valves not to sure and just wondering if that would be safe to throw on my stock bottom, and yes the head has bin machined to fit the valve springs and retainers. any help is greatly needed thanks Jared

Is it safe? Probably. Is it optimal? Not by a long shot. The 404's are pretty large, but with a stock size valve I don't believe you'll have p2v clearence problems. I have no idea what you plan on using for management though...so that issue will need to be addressed. You may wanna look into upgrading I/H/E before breaking into the motor. Just my .02

i have i/h/e already, aem cold air/dc header/rsr ex-mag and i dont wanna pass up buying the head because it is pretty much a steel for what im getting it at
the 404's are a bet chunky for that setup u should run like some 402's. at this point they will give u ore tehn a set of 404's. you want your cop up alot higher then 9.6 to run those cams

THE whole thing is im getting the head for a steel so i dont want to pass it up, and it seems like i should buy it then turn around and sale it from what everyone is saying, any starting bids lol
THATS WHAT IM THINKING I JUST WANT TO KNOW IF ANYONE IS RUNNING THAT HEAD SET-UP ON A STOCK BLOCK MY BUDDY'S BLOCK WAS STOCK, **** EVERYTHING WAS EXCEPT CAT AND THE HEAD, SO IM JUST SEEING IF I COULD GET ANYMORE INPUT THANKS, KEEP THE HELP COMING
just pick some b16 pistons up for cheap.... the 404's will love them.... but you do kinda need some form of engine management to get them to idle decent for a daily
