I'm just one big idiot!
I finally found out why my valves wont stop clicking after I adjusted them "perfectly".... Like the title says, I'm one big idiot... I got the exhaust mix up with Intake!! Could I have done any damage like that? Just wondering and worrying... Thanks!
For how long was it like that?
If you set the exhaust valves too tightly, the exhaust valves might have contacted the piston tops. But, assuming you have stock GS-R and that the block is a B18C1 (which has flat top pistons), the piston-to-valve clearance is probably OK.
The main concern would be burning up an exhaust valve b/c they don't have enough or any contact with the cylinder head to disperse the heat they absorb from combustion.

HAHAHAHA! Thats funny! Got it mixed up. Hey, we're only human. We all make mistakes. At least you found out what the problem was.
It was like that for about 4-5 days now... When I first adjusted the valves I thought the tapping sound had gone down until yesterday when I was in between songs and heard some tap tap taping... I was coming home from work and I'm thinking of the exhaust valves again (really the intake) than I remembered where the hell the headers were and where I have been adjusting the "exhaust" and I'm thinking... Wait... No... That isn't right! So I have the Exhaust adjusted to .006mm and the intake .008mm. The really bad news is I lost my .008 feeler gauge and I'm broke until friday. So I'm goina have to be hitching rides to school cause I dont wanna drive it like that.
I have the valve cover off right now and I'm going to be adjusting my intake valves after work. If I can find that feeler gauge than hey!! Bitchin!
I also lost one of those "washers" that go under the nut on the valve cover... I thought it would be ok if I drove it just a little bit. The next day I forgot about it and got my engine up to 7500 RPM and now I have oil all over the place. At least I know where that oil smell is coming from when I turn on my heater. Like I said, I'm just one big idiot.

daaaaamnn.. that sounds like something I'd do. You really won't be able to tell what kind of damage has been done unless you pull the head from the block. I'd get one of your buddies to help you out on the weekend, take a look, make sure nothing was burned up. Also check your pistons while your head is off.. any valve to piston contact at such high speed & heat is enough to take out a nice chunk of metal from your piston. Good luck, and take comfort in knowing that people have done things 10x worse than screwing up their valve clearances.
ohhhhh buddy... thats not what I wanted to hear... But I guess I should check it seeing I redlined it like that and I can feel the power loss. But the power loss doesn't bother me as much because it could just be my valves messed up a bit... But the redline part worries me... Screw it!! Do I need to buy anything like gaskets when I put the head back on? I mean will it go out of shape when I take the head off or if it looks good I just put it back on? Thanks guys!

If you wanna make it easier on yourself, just have somebody run a leakdown test on it. You ultimately wanna know if you're leaking from somewhere. It would pretty safe to assume that if you did find high numbers, then blame the valves. It's doubtful that the piston rings are to blame for the leakage, right? Assuming that it's safe to assume to not be concerned about the rings.
If you have oil spraying out of your valve cover, and the tapping noise was loud enough to hear between songs from the cabin.. I think it's pretty safe to say that you need to take a look at your valves & piston to make sure there wasn't any contact. While you have the head off, I'd do any maintenence that's required for your mileage. Specifically the timing belt, water pump & tensioner. You shouldn't need a new headgasket unless you're 150k+ miles. Good luck.
