Default jdm d15b redline???

I know that it redlines at 7600 but what would be the best spot to shift? running a p.08, z6 tranny and intake, header exhaust, and yea i searched.

to find the "best shift point" for your specific motor go and dyno your motor and whatever your peak hp is at thats your shift point. otherwise use the d16z as reference.

I usually shift around 7300 - d15b, p08, jdm tranny, aem short ram, carsound high flow cat, invidia n1 exhaust. But yeah if you want the best judgement on where to shift take it to the dyno.

i thought redline on D15b vtec was 8200rpm...

Redline should be in the upper 6k. Rev limiter should be in the lower to mid 7k. The JDM D15B is not much different than the z6 at all.

yeah, the valvetrain is identical with the exception of the camshaft being a little more aggressive, but every site says the redline is 8200rpm.

accept that honda destroked it with longer rods to give it a 1.62 ratio that likes rpms more than the shitty 1.52 d16 one...

Oh yeah and the cam is a little more aggressive
