Would a SH tranny fit on a base tranny?

Would a SH tranny fit on a base H22a motor
As stated above would a SH tranny fit on a base h22 motor? i've heard they won't fit but i just want to get my facts correct... I'm tring to figure out because my friend has a sh motor in a EG and i guess the ATTS hitted the firewall and put a hole in the back of the ATTS/Tranny and he is having troubles finding a SH tranny and wants to see if a base h22 tranny will bolt up correctly

No, but a base tranny will fit on an SH block. You will have to fabricate a mount for the intermediate shaft.
