I have a chance to get me a set of IKON P08's with KUMHO ECSTA Supra 712 rubber.
The size is 215/35 ZR/18.
The car is a 92 VX.
Not sure wat brand of coilovers, but they are adjustable.
The car does not have skirts and the fenders are already rolled.
Questions:
1) Will they fit without rubbing?
2) Will i have to change camber?
3) If i have to change ride height, will i still be able to lower the car enough so that it doest look way too high? There are no ground effects/skirts.
BTW- I'm leanin more towards looks than all out performance, meaning i'm willing to sacrifice a lil Performance for a lil apperence.
Also, is $850 canadian a good price for the set???
???
???
Speedy replies please deal gonna get snatched soon!!!!

I would expect major problems with rubbing. They're a lot wider than the stock tires and they're 5.7 percent larger in diameter. That's huge. I advise you to skip it unless you want to risk getting stuck with wheels and tires that don't fit.
Also, Kumho Ecsta Supra 712 tires are really mediocre tires...

Thanks for the input nsxtasy.
I know that they came off a 96 hatch, i have seen pics of them, but not sure if they were rubbing. There was also no evidence of rubbing on the tires themselves (there were pics of them off the car).
Another question, on my old car, nissan sentra, i had to use spacer plates to shim the rim out for fitment, appx 3/16", for 205/40/17's, can this be applicable here???
Does anyone know of somebody that put 18's on a '92 hatch? I know on various wheel and tire sites they have them advertised for such applications, so it must be possible without major problems, you think?? Not to second guess you nsxtasy.
Also, i checked out the specs on the kumhos, not too far off yokohamas, actually got better reviews for the street!! But with 18's i'm not that concerned with performance, potholes are a bitch!

Sure, no problem. You'll have to find someone who used the exact wheels (same offset and everything) on the same car to be absolutely certain.

That's a VERY old test, before the Yokohama ES100 came out. Here is the test where they compared the ES100 against the 712:
http://www.tirerack.com/tires/...e.jsp
As you can see, the ES100 beat the 712 in every category, 23 out of 23 characteristics. Clean sweep. 'nuff said.
That's why Kumho brought out their Ecsta SPT tire, because the 712 couldn't compete against the ES100. Both the SPT and the ES100 are much, much, MUCH better than the 712. Even though they all cost roughly the same.
