Rear sway bar kit for EG
Wondering if anyone could post up pictures of sway bar kit on EG civic. I am looking to install sway bar kit for the rear of my car, and cannot decide on carbing, comptech, usdm type r, or blox. I have an HKS Hiper exhaust on my car and I am a little concerned about the clearance since the exhaust runs underneath the control arm, with the comptech kit.
Also wondering if anyone has had any subframe problems when bolting on a bigger sway bar with the welds ripping?
Any pictures or comments would be much appreciated.

heres my experience,
stock civic shocks, jdm itr 23mm rear sway bar, and bsq kit, 3.5"gab on fender well. numerous mountain runs in malibu, topanga area. never a problem with sway bar or with subframe for 1 year with the oem shocks and bsq kit.
then i went to:
tein ss coilovers, jdm itr 23mm rear sway bar, and bsq kit, lowered 2". numerous mountain runs in malibu, topanga area. never a problem with sway bar or with subframe for 1 year.
then i had
tein flex coilovers, jdm itr 23mm rear sway with bsq kit. lowered 3". same runs in malibu, 1 year never any problems with sway or subframe
now (not installed, car in storage)
buddy club racing spec dampers, will be lowered 3", now running a mugen 26mm rear sway, and a ASR subframe brace... no physical use of any of these items as of yet
i would feel safe with a 23mm itr sway with a bsq kit on oem shocks or coilovers. but if you plan on getting a larger rear sway i would run a subframe brace definitely..... and anyone that has an ek you must use a subframe brace, do a search more than enough examples of tear outs on eks

your exhaust runs underneath the control arm? wow isn't that pretty low? Thats crazy, i've never seen that before...
i have the comptech on my del slo...i like it...if you want bigger than 23mm that the asr brace seems really nice. I don't have issues with the comptech (same as 92-95 civic) hitting the exhaust piping; but then i have custom mandrel bent and i purposedly asked them to bend it up over the control arm high so to clear a thicker sway bar.

It is alot like the Apexi N1, but not as extreme, I really think that it is not going to be an issue, I have been looking at some pictures of the sway bar on an Integra and I think that it will clear, but it will definitely be close. Could you tell a difference on your car after you installed it?

you will definately feel a difference...it has been raining here in Ca lately (well not that much) so i haven't really driven it hard...
I got a track day on Sat. 4/1 so i know i'll experience a huge difference.
oh btw, if your exhaust runs under the lower control arm, than wouldn't that mean the exhaust piping wouldn't be anywhere near the sway bar because the sway bar is mounted above the control arm?

See, the sway bar is above control arm.

Yeah, when you get back from the track let me know how it is after the track day, I have one coming up in July at Road Atlanta, so I am trying to get my car ready for that. If you get a chance too man, I would like to see what it looks like on your car, if you could snap some pics, if not then that is cool. I would really like to see what it looks like on the hatch, but no one seems to have any pictures of it on that car.
You didnt list it, but you should look into the ASR kit that comes with a Type R sway bar. That should take care of any problems and concerns about the subframe, and you get a nice sway bar with it. Dont know about your exhaust issue though.
Cant wait to get mine.

You have a link for the site that sells it? I am limited as to what websites I can get on here at work. I can get the Type R sway bar and end links for cheap, password has the ASR subframe reinforcement doesn't it?

No I can use the OEM bar, but I just like the looks of the Comptech, but I am starting to lean towards the OEM because of price and it is the same diameter as the comptech. I think that I am going to use the subframe brace and the type r bar. That seems like it will be the best combo for the money.
I have decided to go with the Comptech kit, but my question now is is there any drilling required? It is for an Integra, but going on an EG. Can anyone tell me if I am going to have to drill into the subframe?

I have a track day this weekend, or I should say autocross session, so that is why I am going with the Comptech, I can't get the ASR fast enough. But I appreciate the info guys, been alot of help.
Had to take the Comptech back, didn't fit, the exhaust system was in the way, so I am going with the Type R bar, going to keep the SPC Performance rear lower control arms, but my question is does anyone know if I need to get the toe links to make these control arms to work. I definitely have to get the adjustable upper control arms for the rear.
Anyone had the Dunlop Direzza DZ101 on their car, if so, any problems with turn in, too soft?
