swapped entire wiring harness, now radio and heater don't work
OK here is the background story... I bought a 98 GSR shell and ripped out ALL of the wiring (except what goes to the sunroof and ceiling lights) from the car and replaced it with 97 GS wiring because I had my rolled 97 GS for parts.
Now the radio won't work (the little red theft or whatever light is blinking but it won't turn on to put the code in or anything) and the fan controls won't work to turn the fans on. Everything worked perfectly in the 97 before I swapped everything over.
Anybody ever had a problem like this? TIA for any help, I really wanna fix this soon

i just did the same thing to my gsr, everything works other than my rpm tach. but in your case, first check asll the conncetions, sometimes on different models the wires on different( i had to change some wires around as well) btw the gs doesnt come with the AC right? so im not sure if you would have the harness. btw give up on this forum, no one will help you out. post in tech forum, they know a whole lot more. sorry if i didnt help much

About the wires being different on different models, I changed the *whole* harness, everything, except the wires that run up into the ceiling. That includes everything under the hood and in the interior. GS comes with AC too, it's like an LS but with leather interior. And I posted a link to this thread in the tech section too.

Problem solved, it turns out that the 98 ignition harness was still in the car and I didn't change that to a 97 harness, they both look the same and plug in fine and everything but like 1 wire is in a different slot between the two
