I picked up an aircon setup from a 99 Civic HX for my 99 Civic DX assuming that all aircon kits from a 96-00 civic SOHC are universal. However, I noticed the HX and DX has different part numbers for the kit!

After further researching, I found a set of installation instructions for the civic AC kit and came to the conclusion that the only difference between the kits is the compressor unit:

Civic DX - 38800-P2F-A01
Civic HX - 38800-P2R-A01

It looks like the compressor can bot in and the connections look the same. Do you guys think it would work? Or am I better off buying a DX compressor to go with the kit?
